AGP-TRZ2 Research Peptide
The molecular composition of Tirzepatide peptide is three specific amino acids in a specific sequence. This tripeptide has lysine, proline and valine, a compact yet functionally significant molecule for research.
Amino Sequence: 39 amino acid acylated peptide, GIP-based backbone
Molecular Formula: C₂₂₅H₃₄₈N₄₈O₆₈ (free base)
Molecular Weight: ~4813.45 Daltons
PubChem CID: 156588324
CAS Number: 2023788-19-2
Three engineering features define the molecule: α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) replaces alanine at positions 2 and 13 to prevent DPP-4 degradation, and a C20 eicosanedioic acid is covalently attached via a γGlu-(AEEA-AEEA) linker at the position 20 lysine, extending half-life to roughly five days. The theoretical pI falls in the range of about 4.5–5.0, and the formulation is an aqueous phosphate buffer at pH 4.5.
Important: The opening paragraph appears to be incorrectly copied from the KPV description. Tirzepatide is not a three-amino-acid KPV tripeptide, so that paragraph should be replaced before publishing.
